Is there any kind of advantage to having a ranged weapon and melee weapon? Will the misses turn more into hits? Or is just equiping a ranged weapon ok?
just equip the weapon you want to use. there is no benefit to having both a melee and a ranged weapon equipped.
so there is only a need for one weapon?
yup. if you have two weapons equipped you just end up choosing one to use atthe begining of the fight. if that is the same weapon every time, why bother equip the other one.
what weapon is chosen when you are attacked?
is it safe to assume a melee weapon would be preferred over a ranged when you are doing the attacking yourself?
The best way I have found is to equip a ranged and a melee weapon and when I attack, which ever comes up on the attack page is my strongest weapon. Then I just go unequip the other. Every once in a while I double check cause after boosting stats, it might change
just pick a weapon that suits you, if you have a lot of strength, go with melee, if you don't go with ranged.
