If I read 90ranajo's numbers correctly, you only lost $20000 or .2% of your total housing value. That's in line with the hit I took on my own property value.
Housing values have taken a hit, presumably, to attract more buyers, and indirectly more players. Howlsong pointed out what might be part of a larger trend: players feeling the pinch on their disposable income, resulting in fewer donations.
It's interesting to watch how real-life economics leaves its own impression on the Awakened Lands.
