I have always kept a matching set of armour and helmet..just curious though does it make much of a difference to get the best helmet you can afford no matter what armour you are wearing?
The protection gained isnt as noticeable as you would think IMO. That one peice of equipment may effect the outcome of a close fight.
There are no bonus of having the same set of armor and helmet.
On the other hand, the best helmet is compatible with older armor. If the chance to get the best helmet arises, it is more logical to get the best helmet for more defense.
However, some player who is short in cash might want to save their money and get the armor first.
