Could the gang be given other options like playing the stock market or investing it in arms trade's/money laundering or drug deals?

These crimes would not affect the organized criming.They would be different as they take your hard earned money.

Nah hosp times would have to increase with the more money you spend.Also the chance of losing your cash could be 50/50
and what determines success/failure ?
Id have to say gang average level.The more money invested the more that would affect it.As for the stockmarket again the gang average intelligence compared to money invested.
To make things fairer you would have to include gang size.The more members the more money you could invest in a crime.
