The better one...the one who need bigger stats to equip.
alright sweet. but i am also curious, i know i cannot equip the best of weapons, but because the best melee weapon and range cost the same and have the same stats how would it work then?

You sir are a fucking moron
Just to prove a point I don't use a melee weapon but here you go super Dave
Equipped Items
Ranged WeaponG-Force 420 Metal Storm
Melee WeaponBroyles Inc. Ionized Axe
HelmetYou are not wearing a helmet.
Just because something shows up in your inventory doesn't mean it's equipped.

what part of "equipped weapons" did you not read?
Re read bud's statement.
You sir are a fucking moron.
You still have to choose which weapon you use during the attack.

Captain Obvious and a fucking tool. How are you still married?
Didn't show up in my inventory showed up on my list of equipped items. Once again sir you are a fucking moron.
In topic i'm not entirety positive but I think it factors in skills as well when it chooses in the even your skills for each weapon class are the exact same i'm not sure but I think it would look at your stats
Say you need 80 Acc for a weapon req and you have 90
Say you need 80 Str for a weapon req and you have 85
I think it would default to the ranged but i'm not positive
that would make sense, because i was looking at a ranged weapon, but i was also thinking would it be worth haveing two weapons equipped when yuo can only choose one in battle, but the defence poped up, and you cannot choose a weapon and thats where i got confused thanks for that.
ps superdave try yourself and find out.
this used to be a problem for long blade users because their weapons were garbage in a war so they had 2 choices, get a ranged weapon that was better or switch weapons between attacking hideouts and normal attacks.
IIRC for tommi at least it tended to pick the ranged weapons over the melee in a defense.
I'll investigate this for me personally I'll equip both a ranged and melee weapon (I'm normally melee.).And when someone attacks whatever weapon I defend with must mean that's the type of weapon my stats are best for.
