I remember attacking CustieMcNooberson, but not the other guys.

Yes...i have as well.....Took me surprise.

It is some kind of Glitch in the code.

Is it totally random when multiple opponents enter the fight, or is it a certain circumstance that causes it to happen, i.e. a mug vs. a gang pvp, etc.?

I remember attacking CustieMcNooberson, but not the other guys.

They aren't fighting you; if you look carefully, their damage matches up and so does yours. It /seems/ to be more of a error in the display, as the combat only shows up as occurring (i.e. you aren't /actually/ fighting the others). Personally, I've always thought it to be a result of an attack at an identical or near identical time, as this may cause the server to consider both as the same attack. That being said, I'm not Computer Science PhD.
