Simplist thing ever. Get rice. Get the cooker. Put about 1 part rice to 2-3 parts water. The more water, the stickier the rice (until you get mush, followed by soup). I usually kinda eyeball it and goes with what feels right. Rice, like pasta, is (mostly) edible as long as it's not too over/undercooked. Use trial and error to make what kind you like best. Hell it's cooking, experiment and enjoy! ^^

Soak it, wash it, 1 cup water to every 2 1/2 cups of rice, and let it cook.
