I see people posting "oh well look at your lvl and you are giving me advice?"

Honestly, I look at someones ID number, if they are lower than mine then I know someone has been playing for longer and might not be a noob.
But for all the old timers, we are all n00bs and there is nothing that will change their thoughts about it.

Inpace has a lower Player ID than me. And he's a noobdouche.

Yeah but you would call him that no matter WHAT number he had lol

Goddamn Noobs Biggrin.
In answer to the initial question....I would first argue that there is a big difference between newbies and noobs as defined here:

http://www.cad-comic.com/cad/20060823

That said, I would be inclined to cease regarding someone as a newbie in AL after they've been arround for 3 to 6 months solid. ^^

only about 20% to 30% of the actual active AL population is represented in the forums.

You are asking the minority a majority-based question.

That being said, in the forums, it is when you are social accepted, regardless of being like or hated, in the forums.

This game is 20% game and 80% forums for the majority of the players in here.

edit: grammar police.

hahaha socially accepted, when did this happen?
i'd go by denethor's definition. this game doesn't have tooo many n00bs but there are some.
Everyone who uses the forums is a noob.

They can't understand. They're 2's.

Echothrice

I figure if someone is past level 20 and can form a coherent sentence without interjecting references to genitalia that it's safe to assume they're not a noob.

On the other hand, I am proved wrong daily on the forums.
