Do you have a basement? Nowawadays I only hear about that in trailer-homes or houses on concrete blocks.

I <3 my wood stove. $750 to keep the house @ 75 all winter long. Or take my brothers approach.... buy 30 tri-axles of wood (abotu 240 cord), keep 13 cord for himself, give me and my rents 6 each, and sell the remaining 215 cord for $230 each....

Our power stayed on with the 40 mph wind. My house is 14 yrs old.

Wow your house is that old. Looks in great condition. And yes Living on 15 acres has its draw backs. Looks like a frozen tundra
